Syrian-born singer Farid Al-Atrash emerged as one of Egyptian cinema's most beloved stars in this, his second film. Farid plays a young man from a wealthy family who becomes involved in a love triangle with a neighbor (Madiha Yousri) who harbors dreams of playing the piano, and an exotic belly dancer (Tahiya Karioka) who schemes to win his heart.
This poster was designed by acclaimed but infrequent poster artist Wahdan, who here has created a gorgeous image in warm sepia tones and a vintage artistic style. Farid's billing is as large as the film's title, a hint at his growing popularity, and both are rendered in Diwani-style calligraphy that highlights the romantic theme. The look is a throwback to a Roaring '20s aesthetic that is timeless in its elegance and sophistication.
