A Hot Night - ليلة ساخنة

Set over a single New Year’s Eve in Cairo, the film follows a weary taxi driver racing to secure money for a necessary operation, while a woman trying to rebuild her life searches for a way to repair her collapsing home. When their paths cross, the night opens onto a chain of encounters marked by urgency, temptation, and danger. What begins as a struggle for survival gradually becomes a portrait of a city where doing the right thing offers no simple reward.

The poster, designed in a realistic style by Sami, captures that pressure through confrontation rather than action. Nour El-Sherif and Lebleba face each other at monumental scale, separated by rising flames that suggest heat, tension, and moral collision. El-Sherif appears again with his back turned, drawing the viewer into his position as if we are pushed with him through the night. The smaller vignettes of violence and street performance tighten the composition, giving the image the same claustrophobic pulse as the film itself.
