Galal, a neighborhood strongman, seeks eternal life from a sorcerer, believing this will protect him from death. This film, adapted from a story by Nobel Prize winner Naguib Mahfouz, is filled with symbolism and parallels to real-life figures. Galal's journey from a devout lover to a power-obsessed tyrant mirrors the rise and fall of historical leaders, culminating in his tragic demise. The film stars Farid Shawqi as a grieving widower, Nour El-Sherif as the ambitious Galal, and Madiha Kamel.
