The Borders - الحدود

The claim of unshakable Arab unity and cooperation is poked fun at in this political satire written by Muhammad Al-Maghout and Duraid Lahham. A traveler between two fictional Arab nations loses his identification and is refused entry to both. He is forced to camp at the border, where the contradictions of his situation are illuminated by the cast of characters he meets. Lahham stars with Raghda, Rashid Assaf, Hany El-Romany, and Omar Hajo.

An exhausted and frustrated Lahham appears at center, with Raghda next to him hand-washing clothing. In another image he holds flags of both nations and below him are the border station and guards. Olive green and earthy hues dominate, reflecting the Levantine setting. This poster was designed and produced using offset lithography by Syrian fine artist Entabi. It represents an ideal collectible based on the film's political significance and courageous symbolism.
