A Love Letter - رسالة غرام

This musical melodrama (adapted from Alphonse Karr's novel Sous les Tilleuls) stars actor-singer Farid Al-Atrash and actress Mariam Fakhreddine. On his daughter's wedding night, singer Wahid remembers the girl's mother and how her family had disapproved of her marriage to him. His hopes for marriage were ended by an affair she had with his friend, but he grew to forgive her and subsequently dedicated his life to his art. The film is a touching meditation on love, forgiveness and the cyclical nature of life itself.
