Rashid Assaf and Ghada El-Shamaa portray lovers who are frustrated by her family's disapproval of their relationship. When her pregnancy ruins her father's hopes to marry her off to a rich businessman, the family suffers an unexpected tragedy that calls into question the obligation of young women to marry according to duty, instead of love.
