Based on a novel by Ihsan Abdel Quddous, Faten Hamama stars as the matriarch of a proud family fallen on hard times after the death of the father. As her six children become embroiled in one difficulty after another, she struggles to find love again and questions her ability to persevere. This is a social comedy that examines many of the issues of the time.
Unusual for posters of the era, this image is a photograph of the family arranged as a portrait. The yellow background and red lettering are particularly vivid, and the poster is offset lithographed on glossy paper.
