The Thirteenth Wife - الزوجة 13

Actress-entertainer Shadia, the “Idol of the Masses” and one of Egypt's most beloved stars of the silver screen, stars as a frustrated woman who finally finds love, only to discover that her new husband (played by Rushdy Abaza) was married twelve times previously. A comedy of both errors and intentions results.

This whimsical poster art hints at the humor in the film: Shadia pushes away in annoyance as Abaza closes in for a reassuring kiss. Her unwillingness is comically portrayed again at bottom, where she is swept away by her insistent groom. It reinforces the film's very fun and lighthearted look at romance.
