Three recently released prisoners are enticed to continue a life of crime by the beautiful female boss of a gambling den. When one tries to break away and lead a normal family life, he finds that escaping a life of crime is not easy, especially when the female boss is eager to seduce him. This film uniquely blends social drama themes with a film noir story, featuring iconic actress Huda Sultan in the femme fatale role and also starring silver screen heavyweight Mahmoud El-Meligy, Hussein Issa, Dorriyah Ahmad, and Alaweyah Gamil.
This poster is another masterpiece from artist-designer Gassour. The faces of the cast, especially the always lovely Huda Sultan, really pop against a rich twilight background. Character elements from the film – a prisoner's cap, a woman's rural clothing – hint at the larger story. The film title is rendered is a truly unique modernist, 3D style of calligraphy, with street children “seated” on the protruding lettering. This is one of the most visually distinctive and colorful items in this collection, and wonderfully unique for the period.
